| An adventure in preparing and tasting authentic and modern Mexican dishes geared for curious travellers. This class is for adults and teenagers | |||
| In this class, you will learn to make dishes that are popular in The Gulf and Central Mexico. You will start by making and tasting 3-4 fresh Mexican salsas. Next, you will head into the kitchen to make tortillas and prepare quesadillas or corn tortillas stuffed with cheese. Next, you will prepare tamales de mariscos or seafood tamales which is corn dough wrapped in banana leaves and stuffed with fish/shrimp and veggies. **note** We can substitute chicken/pork for the seafood, so please let us know your preference. Lastly, you will enjoy dulce de coco or a simple family coconut based dessert topped with vanilla icecream. Be sure to bring your appetite! | |||
Our Policies
Classes are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of 6 students is not enrolled. On that rare occurrence, we do our best to shift you to another day during your stay.
The nature of our classes dictates the use of certain ingredients. However, if you ave any dietary restrictions please advise us in advance so that we can try to tailor something for you still in keeping with the menu of the day.
We welcome families, with children over the age of 15 as full students.
